Just What Have I Learned

It is almost two months since I stuck my foot into the big world of Blogging. Just what have I learned? First of all, I learned how much I do not know about what I am trying to do. Secondly, I have learned a lot and I have a lot more to learn. I think that means that I am seriously going to try to learn more about HTML code (I've already learned some) so it won't take me so long to put my posts together. There are several issues that I would like to get more clarity about.

1. Spacing of the lines of text specifically the space between the lines.
2. More control over paragraph position.
3. Making all photos "click-to-enlarge" except for scanned old photos and clip art. I know it has to do with resolution and amount of kilobytes or megabytes of the photos.
4. Clarification of code validation so the transmitted blogs will look similar on the screens out there in cyberspace. This is also important because I want to make the blog into a book. I think the code will have to be cleaner than it is at this time.
5. Figure out why I can't backup my template. I think it has something to do with Internet Explorer because I get the same error message when I try to download a sample template that has not been altered.
6. Better organization of Picasa photos and the Web Album.
7. Ability to change from a two column to a three column template and make the borders smaller.
8. Really, there are many more things to learn which may include learning some more about my computer in general.

Blogger certainly has its issues. But, who am I to complain, after all, it is free. However, some times I don't know if problems are because of what I am doing or if Blogger is having difficulties. For quite a while I could not use the editor buttons for text alignment but now it works great and I changed nothing.

I would certainly like to be able to get a finished product on my screen that looks a little closer to what I am creating in the editor. Perhaps, http://www.w3.org/Consortium/siteindex will be some help. However, I know I will have to dedicate a chunk of time if this is the path I want to take.

There is a possibility that I may decide that the aggravation with Blogger is just too much and I may change to another provider. However, I'm sure they all have their quirks. But, that decision, I will not make lightly!
