I continue to enjoy the beauties of the holiday season with the debuting of the second amaryllis a couple days ago. The color looks red on the screen, but it is actually orange. And, that was quite a surprise since the box had a picture of a white and pink flower!
I am beginning to think that the Lily is my second favorite flower - following the Rose.
Well, here we are in the New Year and I need to "catch my breath". So much has been going on in my life - - - way too much. My main focus is to slow down and spend more time with myself. That may sound strange to some of you, but that is exactly what I must do to find "my center" which I think has slipped away from me. There is not any one issue that has caused me to feel this way. However, I have experienced tremendous changes during the past couple years and sometimes we must step back and take a look at where we are.
I am thrilled to tell you that "my friend" who is going through chemotherapy has agreed to live with her daughter until the chemo treatments are completed. The plan is that she will return when it is time to start the radiation treatments. I think it will be so much better for her to have family closer while she deals with this horrendous situation. I will miss her. But, she is very sick and needs to have someone nearby on a full time basis. Please remember her with your positive thoughts and prayers.
Tomorrow is a new day and I plan to have a thoughtful and meaningful day. I just may do a little rescheduling of some of my upcoming appointments until I am feeling better.
