I would certainly appreciate your good wishes and positive energy. Thanks for the comments I have received. The pain has been very severe even with pain pills.
On June 6, when I posted about Break Time, I certainly DID NOT mean this kind of a break! Unfortunately, around 10 AM on Thursday I tripped and fell to the cement with the greatest weight impact on my LEFT hand/wrist/arm. It is a huge blessing that I am RIGHT handed. The pain was and is tremendous! After, getting up and "shaking myself off" I assessed my situation. After wrapping my injury with ICE and fashioning a sling with an Ace bandage I took off for the Prompt Care Clinic about fifteen minutes drive away.
X-rays were taken. And - YEP - just as I thought - there was a fracture! I don't have time for this nonsense ! ! ! By evening time, an appointment with an Orthopedic Surgeon was scheduled for the next morning. THE LONG AND THE SHORT OF IT - (because I am feeling too awful to write more) surgery is scheduled on Wednesday for Open Reduction Internal Fixation Left Distal Radius Fracture. I am using pain pills and getting slight pain relief. "This too, shall pass".
Sunday Update - Splint too tight. I had to rewrap it. Not pretty!
I spent the day staying very quiet getting plenty of rest and elevating and periodically icing my wrist\hand.
It was a beautiful weekend and I hope all of you had a nice time.
Lots of rain on Monday! You know how the weather systems are so strange, right? Well, yesterday and today (so far) it's sunny and warm. There are so many things that need attention. My main focus at the moment is to clean out the Garden Shed. I won't show you a photo. Just use your imagination. Recently, it has become a "catch all". Would you believe, filled to the top!
And, I must get working on the garage. It is a mess! I think I will stop now before I start to feel overwhelmed and depressed. It is such hard and dirty work for me. Wait a minute, it is all about attitude. Say out loud, "I am going to have a wonderful - productive day". That's better!
The Door Is Open. Come on in. I'm glad you stopped by and I hope you will enjoy your visit. I live in the historic town of Murphys, California which is in the Mother Lode Country were gold was discovered in the 1800's. The lifestyle here is quiet and serene compared to big city life. A perfect place to enjoy nature, reading, being outdoors working in the garden, loving my pets, knitting, sewing, crocheting, cooking, baking, decorating, entertaining or whatever strikes your fancy!

My Garden Shed
Food For Thought
IN MY GARDEN there is a large place for sentiment.
My garden of flowers is also my garden of thoughts and dreams.
The Thoughts grow as freely as the flowers and the dreams are as beautiful. - Abram Urban
In the garden I tend to drop my thoughts here and there. To the flowers I whisper the secrets I keep and the hopes I breathe. I know they are there to eavesdrop for the angels. ~Dodinsky
